The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) has partnered with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) for the past 9 consecutive years to bring the best anglers, biggest country music stars and most exciting family fun to Texas.

TPWD is a national leader in caring for the fish and fisheries under their stewardship, and the catch-weigh-and-immediate release practice of the Toyota Texas Bass Classic tournament exemplifies that. Any tournament bass caught between 16-24 inches must be immediatly release back into the lake. All fish brought to the stage for weighing must remain alive in the anglers live-well and then release back into the lake post weigh-in. This supports all TPWD efforts to conserve the natural lake growth and also showcases the type of bass Lake Fork can produce.

As the official charity partner, the TPWD annually receives a $250,000 donation from the Tournament; the grand total to date is $2.25 Million. These donations go to help further the TPWD programs which help conservation education and youth awareness offerings throughout the state of Texas.

"Community Fishing Lakes programs (CFL) has a $153,000 budget this year. That money is a donation from the Toyota Texas Bass Classic tournament…best money TP&W is spending to stimulate fishing." – The Dallas Morning News

Adding to the on-site activates will be the Brookshire’s Texas Parks & Wildlife Outdoor Adventures Area. Since Brookshire’s opening in 1928 they have been committed to getting involved in local communities. This year at TTBC the Brookshire’s Texas Parks & Wildlife Outdoor Adventures Area will feature, kid-friendly activities that emphasize TPWD’s youth fishing programs, including archery, Fish Art, Habitat Puzzles, Habitat Building Program and a host of outdoor themed educational and interactive exhibits.
